music has always had a huge impact on my life. growing up in motown and loving those songs, my family also listened to classical, musicals, dinah washington, spike jones, and many other styles.
moving to california in the early 60's, i was privileged to hear and see many great influences of the times.
i've been songwriting since the late 70's, with 40 some songs and melodies. it's the creative expression of who I am. a release, a process, a transformation, an exaltation, a story, and understanding, a social commentary.
i find that creative juices start to flow when i've been inspired by people, places and events, as well as opportunities for playing with other musicians.
